Cari-Esta Albert brought the audience of
nearly 60 members and guests into her circle at our May program
meeting as she asked us all to relate our personal favorite
procrastination technique. Strangely enough, Cari-Esta suggested that
not all procrastination is bad for us, and that, if approached
creatively, can actually enhance our productivity and help cure what
she describes as the root cause of our put-offs. What is that?
Uncertainty about our project, where our characters are going, and how
to get them there. She shared several key concepts that energized the crowd and
set the stage for her upcoming
full-day workshop on June 7th. Thank you, Cari-Esta, for an inspiring evening.
Cari-Esta is the producer of The Truth About Cats and Dogs (20th Century Fox), executive producer of
Heart and Souls (Universal Studios) and Love Is
Strange (Lifetime Network). As an executive at Geffen Pictures, Universal Pictures,
Alphaville and USA Network, she worked on the development and production of an extensive slate of pictures including, Defending
Your Life, Interview With The Vampire, Gorillas In The Mist, The Last
Boy Scout, Executive Decision, The Mummy, Parenthood, and Men Don’t Leave.
